Founding Partner Christopher J. Malafis, Esq., is a New York, Long Island native, and relocated to South Florida in 2006.

Christopher is a graduate of Chaminade High School, a prestigious all-boys Catholic High School on Long Island, in New York.

Mr. Malafis began his career in the private sector in New York and worked in a variety of fields including hospitality, accounting, insurance, and financial planning. Mr. Malafis later received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, after dual-majoring in History and Political Science.

Christopher graduated, cum laude, from The University of Miami School of Law and earned a specialization certificate in Litigation. He served his fellow students and community as a Dean’s Fellow for Criminal Procedure, and as the President of the University of Miami Student-Animal Legal Defense Fund, an organization committed to preventing animal cruelty.

In his early legal career, Mr. Malafis worked for a number of Miami-based law firms, gaining valuable experience in the areas of Personal Injury, Commercial Litigation and Family Law. As an attorney, Christopher has been employed on matters involving a variety of case types including landlord-tenant disputes, medical malpractice claims, personal injury and tort claims, family law matters, and commercial business litigation.

Mr. Malafis has also previously been retained in a General Counsel role by numerous business entities. Mr. Malafis' past experiences also include representing high-net wealth individuals seeking private equity partners.

More recently, Mr. Malafis had the privilege of arguing in the Supreme Court building for the State of Virginia, in Richmond, in an appeal brought by a commercial client.

In his personal life, Christopher is an accomplished musician, enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and exploring the natural beauty Florida has to offer.  He is also an avid Star Trek, Star Wars and science fiction fan.
